adding language calling it a full-scale incursion of Ukraine by Russia and calling for respecting Ukraine’s sovereignty with that language. The US draft passed but the changes led Washington to abstain on its own resolution but in the afternoon the debate over Ukraine moved out of the General Assembly and down the hall to the Security Council, where the US again put its draft resolution up for a vote. It passed. The US voted with Russia and China; it simply calls for an end to the conflict despite objections from the UK.
