Well guys, it’s about the season for Nintendo Directs. And of course, with Nintendo Direct season comes the rumors. And we’ve already got our first rumor coming in about when this next Nintendo Direct is going to hit. And it’s going to be technically the first rumor and also the first Nintendo Direct for Switch 2.
Now, I’m not counting the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct. This is kind of like the first direct after Switch 2 launches. You get what I mean? So, this apparently comes from PH Brazil, which claims that the next Nintendo Direct is set for Switch 2’s launch week or the week after. Now, this is how I’m going to go about this.
With Switch 2, I’m giving every leaker or quote unquote insider a fresh slate. So, I’m not forgetting the things that they got right or wrong in the past, but I’m giving them a fresh slate starting with the Switch 2, and that’s what they’re going to be judged off of. So, with PH Brazil, he’s been all over the place.

In the past, he’s gotten some things right, a lot of things wrong. Mentioned a lot of things with the Switch 2 coming out way earlier, uh, having information a lot sooner, and just a lot of things didn’t happen that they claimed was going to happen. But since this is a fresh new slate for the Switch 2, we’ll see how credible PH Brazil actually ends up being for the Switch 2.
Now, this has been picked up by a bunch of different outlets, but this one comes from Go Nintendo and states, “According to PH Brazil, we can expect the next Nintendo Direct to drop during Switch to launch week or the week after.” This obviously makes a lot of sense because it is June after all.

And even though E3 doesn’t happen anymore, the big-name companies still like to host their presentations throughout the month. Nintendo has been running June Directs for a while now, so it makes sense to think that they’ll do the same sometime close to Switch 2’s launch. Now, this isn’t much of a rumor. Let’s be honest.
We’ve been talking about this for weeks now. I’ve made a couple videos on this already talking about how it just literally makes sense. And we’ll talk about why in a second. But when we look at the dates, I’m not even for sure if this is lining up because I think it could be even later. If you look at the last two years Nintendo’s had June Nintendo Directs, last year in 2024, they had it on June 18th.

So, we take the first two weeks of June and we use Tuesday through Thursday as possible days that we can get this Nintendo Direct to be aired. Um, this is what we have. So, right away, I don’t see how in the world Nintendo’s going to do this on the week of Switch 2’s launch. They’d be interfering with Mario Kart World, tons of the Switch 2 edition games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom coming out right away, and the Switch 2 itself.
Now, since the Switch 2 is coming out on a Thursday on June 5th, there’s a possibility that maybe they want to get another Direct out right before it comes out, but I feel like that Switch 2 Direct was exactly what this was for. So, I really don’t see it possibly being that first week. The second week does seem more reasonable, but based on what Nintendo’s been doing in the past with the last two years of June Nintendo Directs, it always seems like they’re around the middle or later half of the month. So,
I’m aiming for
the last two weeks of June. And I personally think it’s probably going to be around that third week. Sounds the most likely to me. This gives Nintendo more than enough time to get Mario Kart World out, let people really soak the game in for a while, get their Nintendo Switch 2 turned on, get their games downloaded, whatever they want to do, and then give them a couple of weeks later to give them something else to look forward to.

Touch more on Donkey Kong Bonanza and the other games that you have coming out for the holiday. And maybe even sprinkle a couple of games early for next year. Now, I know you guys will jump me like a hawk if this doesn’t happen. So, I’m saying right now, I don’t know if a June Nintendo Direct is going to happen.
I’m just relaying information to you guys. I mean, I am fairly confident. In fact, I’m probably around 95% sure there will be a June Nintendo Direct just simply because the fact that Nintendo has to talk about stuff. I mean, like I said, they have Donkey Kong Bonanza
