The famous skill of Louis Thru is to put his interviewees at ease, disarming them with a quiet, inquisitive tone and then letting them hang themselves. This is always made for compelling viewing. But in his new documentary about Israel’s illegal settlers, that skill brings out damning and desperately important results. There’s nothing you can see which is critical of her in this article. So if we were going to make this article headline more accurate so we could engage with it that the documentary on its own terms. I’m saying it’s not a more accurate headline. I’m saying if if it was less dishonest on its own terms it would be that the documentary was trying to find the worst Israelis they could find to make Israel look bad.
